LEARNING OBJECTIVE

In this this practical, hands-on workshop you will learn techniques to rapidly improve your Facebook marketing. Bring your laptop and login details as you will be making simple changes to your page during the workshop.

DESIGNED FOR

Business owners, managers, or marketers who want to know more about how to leverage their Facebook Page effectively and how to properly guide staff.

Note. This workshop is aimed at those who are already up and running on Facebook. It is not aimed at complete beginners.

  • How to develop a Facebook strategy
  • Structure - profiles, pages, groups, likes, followers - what does it all mean and have you got the right structure to move forwards with?
  • Reviewing why you are on Facebook – what are your goals?
  • Defining your target market
  • Research – what are your competitors up to?
  • What is your brand voice – the way you ‘speak’ on social media may be different to your other communication channels
  • Understanding the newsfeed in order to get the most out of your posts
  • Image optimisation
  • Understanding how to optimise your posts for interaction
  • Content ideas
  • How do you manage and respond to comments and direct messages - positive and negative resulting from your posts?
  • Learn about the range of Facebook tools you can take advantage of
  • Audit of participants’ Facebook Pages
  • Investigating Insights - how do you measure results from social media and tie these back to your objectives?
  • Relevant examples
  • Useful tools and apps
  • Overview off Facebook Ad options and why you need to pay to be seen

An integral part of this workshop will involve an audit of participants’ Facebook Pages. Participants are welcome to bring specific Facebook questions to the workshop where solutions will be worked through.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Participants will leave with a greater understanding of how to develop a Facebook strategy for their business and have implemented changes during the training that will add value to this marketing tactic. They will also be able to guide their support team or external agency to truly leverage Facebook for their organisation.

DURATION

Four hours, limited to 6 participants
Will be extended to a full day if over 6 participants.

FACILITATOR

Philippa Crick from Dunedin

An innovative problem solver and strategic thinker, Philippa is the Marketing Director and Social Media Strategist at a Dunedin Marketing Agency.

A confident and knowledgeable speaker, she regularly presents marketing seminars and writes informative articles on the latest social media trends, as well as general marketing advice.

Having worked in the industry for over 18 years, Philippa has an extensive background in branding, design, advertising, print management and digital marketing including websites, email marketing and social media. Philippa is also certified with Google Adwords and manages a number of effective campaigns for a wide range of industries.

At the forefront of social media marketing, Philippa translates her knowledge to guide organisations on how to effectively integrate ‘social’ into their business strategy.
