Participants will learn to identify situations within an organisation that are non-compliant with the quality system standards, and identifies processes, which require control or further control as well as any opportunities for improvement.

A Quality Management professional, Gordon has extensive experience across multiple industry groups; including public sector, small local and large international businesses. He has led the drive for excellent systems with businesses globally and in the process has improved systems and achieved reduced costs of non-conformance in the supply chain. He now focuses his efforts on working with individual businesses to identify and implement improvement opportunities that deliver improved productivity and resulting profits. A former national evaluator for the NZ Business Excellence Awards, Gordon provides a well-balanced approach to businesses he assists
Gordon has over 20 years’ experience in auditing to both legislation and International Standards. He has developed and delivered training to internal auditors and currently carries out contract audits for two certification bodies; Bureau Veritas and Best Practice Certification. Over the years he has assisted many businesses in their journey to Best Practice or Standards Certification through provision of detailed gap analysis followed by assistance in the development and implementation of action plans to address those gaps identified.
Gordon is an active member of Engineering Dunedin Incorporated and holds a diploma in Business Administration (dBA) from the University of Otago. He has been a longtime member of the NZ Organisation for Quality, chairing the Otago/Southland branch for a number of years and is an accredited third-party auditor for international standards in Quality (ISO 9001:2015), Environment (ISO 14001:2017), Health & Safety (AS 4801:2001, ISO 45001:2018).
