We remain concerned with the increasing costs that employers are facing and are continuing to raise this with the Government. Among these extra costs are changes to the Holidays Act, which will be amended to increase employees’ yearly sick-leave entitlement from 5 to 10 days from 24 July 2021. You can find out more from Minister Michael Wood here.

We were very proud recently when David Browne, our Dunedin-based Senior Solicitor and employment law expert, won a prestigious national award from the In-house Lawyers Association of NZ (ILANZ), which is part of the NZ Law Society. You can read more in the ODT here.
As always, if you have any questions or comments, please do let me know.
