Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 4)

After successful completion of Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 4), graduates will have the skills, knowledge and attributes to be able to implement a hazard management system, methods for controlling plant and machinery hazards, and a Health and Safety plan for a workplace.

  • Plan and conduct an occupational health and safety management systems audit for a business operation

  • Perform health and safety roles and manage requirements for contractors to perform work on a site

  • Investigate and document workplace incidents, accidents and injuries, implement and facilitate claims lodgement, interventions, injury management and rehabilitation processes within the workplace.

Designed for

This qualification is designed for all industries and has a flexible structure to meet different needs. It is intended that safety supervisors, co-ordinators or team leaders will be the main candidates for the qualification. The content requires the candidate to be a holder of the Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 3) or has equivalent experience.

Eight days (4 X 2 day blocks), 9.00am - 4.00pm

Module 1: 30 - 31 August 2017
Module 2: 18 - 19 September 2017
Module 3: 26 - 27 October 2017
Module 4: 23 - 24 November 2017

Includes extensive course notes, assessment, tea or coffee on arrival, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea each day.
