This programme gives you the practical tools and techniques you need to plan and deliver successful strategic outcomes.

You are, or you aspire to be, in a senior management role and you are looking to develop your skills in the area of strategic business planning.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of strategic management and a range of strategic management tools

  • Conduct a strategic analysis of a business with reference to the external and internal environments of the organisation

  • Develop a range of strategic options for the business and choose the best strategy for the business to adopt

  • Understand the importance of the implementation plan for the chosen strategy showing how the strategy will be translated into actions or tasks

  • Develop a plan for achieving support and buy-in from relevant stakeholders of the organisation

FACILITATOR

Richard Millar from Auckland

Richard is an experienced trainer and consultant. His areas of expertise include leadership development, frontline management development, team development, executive and personal development coaching, strategic/business planning and accounting for non-accountants training.

Richard has worked in a wide variety of organisations from small to large organisations in New Zealand, Australia and Papua New Guinea.

Richard’s depth of business knowledge and skills in sales, marketing, finance and general management coupled with a very practical approach to training and facilitation has provided excellent value to a large number of organisations.

Richard is member of the New Zealand Society of Accountants and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries & Administrators. He is an accredited DISC® consultant in behavioural profiling and a registered practitioner in MBTI®. He is a Fellow of the NZ Institute of Management and is qualified in Moderation and Workplace Assessment with NZQA. He holds the National Certificate in Adult Education and Training. He also provides community advice as a business mentor for Enterprise New Zealand.

Eligibility
Small and medium size businesses may qualify for vouchers to help pay for services such as training workshops, courses and coaching that build the management capabilities of their owners, operators and key managers. Approved businesses will receive a voucher for up to 50% of the course investment fee.
