Get the skills and knowledge you need to plan and present impactful and memorable training sessions.

You will learn every step of the training process. From understanding learning styles and needs of others, through to structuring and delivering workshops.

Learning outcomes

This course will give you the practical skills to plan and deliver effective training, you will be able to

  • Understand your own learning style and develop instruction to meet a diversity of other styles

  • Design and select training methods to enhance learning outcomes

  • Be confident, comfortable and competent in facilitating learning

  • Learn new techniques to enliven your training sessions

  • Analyse your training style and the style and effectiveness of other trainers

This course is also one of three modules of the National Certificate in Adult Education and Training (Level 4) 

Facilitator - Una Ryan from Auckland

Una Ryan has her own organisational development consultancy that provides coaching, facilitation, training, conference sessions and consulting to the business, government and not for profit sectors, both locally and internationally.

Una’s ability to think systemically and to take a very pragmatic approach to situations enables her to crystallise core issues for organisations, teams and individuals. Her wisdom, keen sense of humour and deep respect for others, makes working with her enjoyable and rejuvenating.

Una’s knowledge and passion for sharing and transforming theoretical models of how people think and interact, into practical tools, ensures insights are gained and growth and new directions occur for those working with her. Una has worked extensively with many profiling tools, including LSI, TMI, Myers-Briggs and Managing for Success profiling and she is an accredited workplace assessor.

Duration

Two days, 9.00am - 5.00pm (limited to 7 participants)

Includes workbook, tea or coffee on arrival, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
 

This workshop has qualified for the NZTE Capability Development voucher programme | Regional Business Partner Network event reference NZIM275 

Eligibility
Small and medium size businesses may qualify for vouchers to help pay for services such as training workshops, courses and coaching that build the management capabilities of their owners, operators and key managers. Approved businesses will receive a voucher for up to 50% of the course investment fee.
