Payroll Practitioners who want to have knowledge of how to complete payment calculations to meet the requirements of employment legislation.


Brief Overview

Compliance with New Zealand employment legislation is often regarded as complex and wide ranging by many payroll practitioners. This practical course will allow participants to practise the essential calculations to cover a range of employee payment situations. Fully worked examples covering a range of different situations will be provided that can then be used back in the workplace. The course will be run in a workshop format.

• KiwiSaver and Superannuation
• Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2001
• Child Support Act 1991
• Calculating Payments Income Tax Act 2004, Tax Administration Act

• Comply with New Zealand employment legislation relating to payrolls
• Calculate annual leave entitlements
• Calculate the required range of employee payments
