Employer Seminars: NZ Immigration

7 August 2017

NZ Immigration are hosting employer seminars around the region to explain the Immigration policy changes which come into effect on 28 August 2017.

If you currently employ migrants - or are considering doing so - you may be interested to learn that there will soon be changes to the Essential Skills work visa, which may impact the way you hire and support migrant workers. The changes - which come into effect on 28 August 2017 - will allow you to continue to employ temporary migrant workers where there are genuine skill shortages - and will ensure that lower-skilled migrants are clear about their long-term prospects in New Zealand.

Information is available on the Immigration NZ website, and more detail will be added within the next fortnight. In the meantime, you can find out more by clicking here, or by registering for one of our employer seminars.

The 90-minute seminar will cover

•  Changes to Essential Skills settings (work visa)

• Changes to the Skilled Migrant Category (residence visa)

• Updates to the Accredited Employer programme.
