About Us

Since 1890, the Otago Southland Employers’ Association (OSEA) has been helping its members with comprehensive employment advice, and industrial relations, health and safety, and human resources support services. Training and staff development programmes are another major activity. The Association now has over 1,400 members, with some 900 of these employing less than 20 people.

The Otago Southland Employers’ Association is a Founder Member of Business New Zealand, New Zealand’s largest business advocacy body.

What Do We Do?
We operate in five main areas:

OSEA Advice

Providing advice, support and representation for Employers on all aspects of employment related legislation, including ACC and Occupational Health and Safety (OSH). 

OSEA Advocacy

As an OSEA member you contribute to the strength of the voice of business; you enhance our ability to promote business' issues and views. OSEA represents members’ interests at a local and central government level, and making submissions on their behalf on district plans, draft legislation and other relevant matters. 

OSEA Training & Networks

Delivering a comprehensive range of training and development programmes to businesses in the Region. Additionally as a member your business will be plugged into OSEA and its networking events.

Export New Zealand

Export New Zealand provide effective advocacy and lobbying on behalf of exporters, inspires New Zealand firms to engage in exporting to expand their business horizons and grow internationally. Additionally Export NZ provides practical support programmes and networking events to help firms achieve these goals.
